The Red Line: An Anthology

What draws me to documentary theatre techniques as a playwright is the co-construction of meaning and stories from participants. This is exceptionally important in the creation of new digital works because more lived experiences are able to be woven together when interviewing globally. I collaborated with young actors, designers, composers, technicians, and management staff from Cloud Theatrics.

As a playwright, I infuse my process with Documentary Theatre Techniques by weaving together different sources and voices into a cohesive and topic-driven inquiry that can best stimulate social dialogue. In 2021, I got the opportunity to collaborate, conduct interviews, write, stage, and perform so big/so small with my colleagues Mac Leslie and Leah Fine.

Digital storytelling is a key component of my curriculum when I teach playmaking for youth. Digital Storytelling Project made for Drama as Education II in the Emerson College MFA Theatre Ed/Applied Theatre Program.
